Samoa Headline

From emotional fiction to living history—stories, biographies, and big ideas told with heart and clarity.

We are an independent house for readers who are still growing—picture books today, wider shelves tomorrow.

Step inside

Like a good neighbourhood shop, we believe browsing should feel calm: wood-toned quiet, a little gold on the spine, and titles chosen because they say something true about being human.

From Nora and the Part That Worries: Nora on the playground lifts one gentle finger while Scout the owl pauses, pencil ready—warm watercolour, hopscotch at their feet.

Who we are

Samoa Headline publishes children’s books first—especially stories that help families name emotions and inner “parts” with compassion. Our ambition is broader: the same editorial care travels with us as we add voices for older readers.

What we care about

Language that sounds read aloud. Art direction you want to linger on. Themes informed by Internal Family Systems and other respectful frameworks—always as story, never as homework.

The Parts Series

Each standalone picture book follows a child and a personified inner part—worry, control, or the urge to keep everything bright—on a gentle journey toward curiosity, belonging, and self-leadership.

Nora and the Part That Worries

When the playground spins, someone is taking notes.

Nora stands still while the world rushes past; beside her, Scout—the part that worries—scribbles every what-if in a serious race. A tender verse story inspired by IFS for ages six to nine about meeting anxiety with curiosity instead of shame, and discovering that even the busiest mind can learn to breathe.

Milo and the Part That Feels Like Fire

Big anger with a brave, steady heart.

Milo feels heat rush through him when things go sideways; Blaze, his fiery inner part, appears fast to protect him. Through rupture, repair, and a second chance at school, this story inspired by IFS helps children meet anger with honesty, responsibility, and connection.

Sunny and the Part That Always Smiles

Joy and grief can share one heart.

Sunny has always been golden; Ray, her bright inner part, finds silver linings before anyone asks. When loss arrives that is too big for brightness alone, another voice appears: Rain, who knows some things deserve tears. A hopeful story about honouring what is real—and resilience that makes room for weather, not just sun.

Clara and the Part That Plans

Order as love—with room for surprise.

Clara likes the day to go as written; Commander, her inner planner, keeps the world pinned tight so nothing bad slips through. When a classmate colours outside the lines—literally—the story asks what control is protecting, and how structure and friendship can share the same desk.
